A Look at a Mook: Mae

So it turns out that a suggestion for me to make a bomb-girl is actually not that far-fetched when I realize I have a cadre of bizarre beat-em-up mooks…

MAE
She may be sexy, she may be sultry, but this woman’s got a body that’s ready to go ‘kaboom’, and the clock’s ticking for her to pounce on you in a most explosive show of emotion. Reject her advances with a rapid retreat, or when she jumps, you’ll say ‘how high will the blast take me?’. Spoiler alert: pretty damn far.


Fighting style:
--Mae has two attacks, and her AI pattern uses a combination of the two depending on her positioning and palette-swap.

A) Jump into the air and land on her breasts. Upon landing, a large explosion will take place at Mae’s position. This will instantly defeat Mae, regardless of her current HP total. (Ask a lady – falling on your breasts really hurts! :3)

B) Jump into the air and land on her butt. Upon landing, a large explosion will take place at Mae’s position. Mae will essentially ‘grenade jump’ following the explosion and land on her feet, but she will be completely vulnerable to attack while her butt re-inflates (as a ‘reload’ animation).


Possible AI routines are as follows:
--Run in from the side and immediately perform Attack A.
--Move around and attempt to perform Attack A once in range.
--Move around and attempt to perform Attack B whenever in range, but switch to using Attack A as a desperation attack once low on HP.
--Move around but ONLY attempt to perform Attack B whenever in range, regardless of HP remaining.

Bonus: Regarding Mae’s physiology!

Mae, while obviously humanOID, isn’t human. Instead, she’s an unusual alien species (origin unknown) with a rather unique trait that works for both attracting males, and for self-defense – Mae can inflate her breasts and butt entirely at will with a dense fluid that her body naturally generates, and while the law of diminishing returns goes into effect after a while, it’s entirely possible for it to fill her breasts to inflate to the entire height of her body (the butt has a much lower maximum limit as the skin of the parts of her body AROUND her posterior aren’t pliable enough to allow for such). Said fluid, once it fills either her breasts or her butt, leaves them very round, but due to how her skin has to keep the fluids inside, tends to lead to a somewhat hard feeling in both so the fluid doesn’t start leaking out. This is also due in part to how her body immediately forms a secondary, interior skin so that she can fill IT once the outer skin bursts (leaving her flat-chested or flat-bootied afterward but capable of immediately filling either of them back up).

While the fluid can be made to naturally drain (albeit much more slowly than the inflation takes place), the typical means of expelling it involves its self-defense purpose – Mae’s body can, whenever she wills it, set off an interior chemical reaction to both cause parts of her body to rapidly break down the outermost skin layers of her breasts or butt, and to cause the fluid to detonate explosively upon either a sufficient impact, or after a set amount of time has passed (in case the former isn’t possible or advisable, and Mae can effectively set the ‘timer’ herself by forcing the reaction to take place more quickly or slowly). Mae herself is completely immune to her body’s explosions (though she’s not immune to being pushed around by the force of it) and the unique composition of the fluid means that it won’t catch and explode from any known accelerants, fire, or similar things. Similarly, Mae’s body is naturally insulated against most heat sources (she’s still not going to be jumping into the sun anytime soon) and is effectively immune to fire or heat-based attacks (though, while explosions won’t hurt her, say, cracking her head against a wall while being blown into it from the shockwave an explosion causes still hurts!).
