TAKERU

She’s one bad mother that you don’t want to mess with – Takeru’s been having some marital issues. It sounds like her husband’s been cheating on her, and she just found out about it. I guess her husband has a thing for blonde women and Nancy and her pals remind Takeru of who she’s losing out to, as she’s hopping mad and in the mood to take out some unfocused anger on any unfortunate woman who looks enough like the homewrecker. Step out of the way of her charges or you’re going to be the subject of thrash therapy.


Fighting style:

--Takeru has a striking combo but her main form of attack is to charge at the player character and attack that way.

A) If the player stays too close to Takeru for too long, she will throw two haymaker punches, then perform a double-axhandle punch to the player’s face for a knockdown.

B) If the player is far enough away from Takeru, she will suddenly stop dead in her tracks, form a pointing pose, and let out an angry shout. She will then proceed to run very quickly to one side (she doesn’t have to move parallel to the screen, and can angle herself up and down slightly, but once she’s picked a direction, she can’t change it), smashing her shoulder into the player if they’re in the way and knocking them down.

C) If the player is far enough away from Takeru, she will suddenly stop dead in her tracks, start stomping one foot while making enraged noises (this takes longer than the warning for Attack B), and shudder violently. As with Attack B, she will then proceed to run very quickly to one side (she doesn’t have to move parallel to the screen, and can angle herself up and down slightly, but once she’s picked a direction, she can’t change it), but not only will she injure other enemies in her way during her run, if she collides with the player’s sprite, she will proceed to smash the player to the ground, then begin rapidly punching and stomping on their face to inflict massive damage. Takeru will sigh deeply once the attack concludes, or if she misses, leaving her open to attack.

D) Mitsuki, and ONLY Mitsuki, will suddenly lunge forward with a rapid shoulder-and-elbow-tackle that instantly knocks the player away and down if it connects. It does moderate damage, like Attack B, but is much harder to see coming as she'll typically use it the instant you're within its range.

Takeru’s tendencies to use either Attack B or Attack C depend on which palette-swap she’s using. If she's using the "Mitsuki" palette, she will only use Attack D. Higher difficulties and game progression will see the occasional not-Mitsuki palette adopt Mitsuki's AI script with no warning that this is the case.
